When it comes to professional sports, who’s the GOAT?

It’s a subject that has been debated often and one that creates plenty of different opinions.

Michael Jordan would probably garner the most votes in a poll, but appearing on ESPN’s “First Take,” former NFL star wide receiver Michael Irvin chimed in emphatically with a different pick as Stephen A. Smith listened.

This is wild.

Irvin’s pick is 7-time Super Bowl champ Tom Brady, who’s currently quarterbacking the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while continuing to defy Father Time.

Said Irving to Smith: “You want to talk about great athletes. (Brady) is a great athlete. The greatest athlete goes out and wins. We expect that. The 199th pick goes out and wins 7 (Super Bowls)? We didn’t expect that. So you can’t just tell me about what he accomplished. Tell me about the distance he traveled to accomplish what he accomplished. And nobody traveled more distance than Tom Brady.”
