As you might expect from the first live preseason game of the NFL season, Thursday night’s Hall of Fame contest between the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers has been ugly.

The Steelers’ kicker missed a field goal in the first half and an extra point in the second half. But, it was the Cowboys’ kicker who drew the ire of social media.

Early in the quarter, former Northwestern kicker Hunter Niswander had this attempt blocked:

Then, just before halftime, this kick wasn’t even close to going through the uprights. It drifted hilariously far to the right:

FOX broadcaster Joe Buck had a great call, saying “Niswander … has one wander.”

Let’s just say Niswander should stay off social media after the game, as he is getting roasted on Twitter. Here’s a sampling of the reactions:

Niswander is the team’s punter, not their kicker, so the struggles are a bit more understandable. Still, that miss before halftime was not pretty, to say the least.
