Damar Hamlin has shown improvement in oxygen levels, his uncle told a Buffalo TV reporter as the Buffalo Bills safety continues to draw the attention of the NFL community and greater sports world.
Josh Reed of WIVB-4 reported: “Just spoke with Damar Hamlin’s uncle. Damar was originally on 100% oxygen and is now down to 50%. Says the family is hanging in there. He thanked Bills fans, and Bengals fans and asked for continued prayers.”
The most recent medical update from the Bills came early Tuesday morning after Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest and was in critical condition at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Hamlin made a first-quarter tackle during the Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals, which was indefinitely postponed.
Hamlin collapsed on the field, and was given medical treatment for nearly 20 minutes, including CPR of 10 minutes, before he was taken to the hospital.
Damar Hamlin spent last night in the intensive care unit and remains there today in critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
We are grateful and thankful for the outpouring of support we have received thus far.
