DraftKings DFS is going to be a lot of fun on Sunday when Super Bowl 58 kicks off between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs.

With only 1 game on the slate for Sunday, there aren’t any “classic” NFL contests on DraftKings. (Learn more about DraftKings Fantasy contest types and how to play.) But there are plenty of Showdown Captain Mode contests available for the big game.

What does that mean? Basically, you pick a roster of 6 players from the Chiefs-49ers showdown, but you designate 1 players as your “Captain.” That player then earns points at a 1.5x rate. For example, if you choose Christian McCaffrey of the 49ers as your captain and he rushes for a touchdown, he’d score 9 points for that TD instead of the normal 6 points.

The other 5 roster spots are superflex positions, meaning you can draft any player from the game, including multiple QBs and defenses. Craft your lineup before Sunday, enter it in whatever contests you prefer and sit back and enjoy what is sure to be an exciting Super Bowl!

Captain: Isiah Pacheco, RB, Kansas City Chiefs ($12,000)

There are several good plays when it comes to selecting your captain (who will rack up points at a 1.5x rate), but Pacheco stands out as a great value. Many DFS players will pick Christian McCaffrey ($18,000), Brock Purdy ($15,000) or Patrick Mahomes ($15,900) as their captains, but Pacheco could have a huge game.

He has a rushing touchdown in each of his 3 games played this postseason. Mahomes doesn’t do QB sneaks, either, so Pacheco is the top goal-line option when he’s in the game.

In terms of yardage, he hasn’t had a 100-yard game yet this postseason, but he has put up 97, 89 and 68 yards on the ground. San Francisco’s defense has been spotty against the run this postseason. If not for the Lions and Packers inexplicably moving away from their rushing attacks as the games went on, they could have put up plenty of yards on the ground. The Chiefs figure to stick to their guns a little bit more than Green Bay and Detroit, so Pacheco should see plenty of work.

Oh, and as a receiver, he’s also caught all 6 of his targets this postseason. Not bad.

Here are some other value players to consider for your 5 FLEX spots:

Harrison Butker, K, Kansas City Chiefs ($5,000)

Playing a kicker isn’t always fun in DFS contests, but it can be worthwhile. Butker is $200 cheaper than Jake Moody, the much less reliable 49ers kicker. Why? I’m not sure. Butker is a perfect 7-for-7 on field-goal attempts this postseason and is a steady veteran presence who has kicked in countless big games. Much like the Chiefs, the 49ers have a defense that is capable of tightening up in the red zone, leading to field goal tries rather than touchdowns. I like Butker in this game, especially considering he’s cheaper than Moody.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR, Kansas City Chiefs ($3,000)

MVS is going to be a popular value pick for this game. You’ll be playing MVS along with many other DFS users if you add him to your lineup, but the chalk might be worth it. He had 2 catches for 62 yards against the Packers and 2 for 38 against the Lions. He won’t draw a ton of targets in this game, but when Mahomes does throw his way, it’ll be down the field. He’s a deep-play threat and if he finds the end zone on one of those targets, he’ll more than pay off his salary.

Kyle Juszczyk, FB, San Francisco 49ers ($800)

Juszczyk had 1 carry for 3 yards and 2 catches for 33 yards against the Detroit Lions. No, those aren’t elite numbers by any means, but at $800, that’s pretty solid production. This is the ultimate punt play, but he does have 2 touchdowns this year. If the 49ers decide to get tricky around the goal line, Juszczyk could find pay dirt on Sunday evening. If that’s the case, he’ll pay off massively with regards to his salary. Playing Juszczyk allows you to get multiple expensive guys (like McCaffrey, Purdy and Travis Kelce) into your lineup comfortably.
