Drew Brees, recording commercial in Venezuela, reportedly on set during lightning strike

Drew Brees, a former Super Bowl-winning NFL quarterback, Former NFL quarterback Drew Brees, while filming a commercial for PointsBet sports book, was apparently struck by lightning.
Videos circulating on social media captured the set, and the storm surrounding the area before a thunderous boom, and lightning strike as equipment crashed to the ground and the video ended.
PointsBet released a statement about the incident: “We are aware of the media coverage regarding PointsBet brand ambassador Drew Brees. We are in communication with Brees’ team and will continue to monitor events throughout the coming hours. At this stage we will not be making any further comment.”
Nick Underhill of NewOrleansFootball.com reported, though sources about Brees that “He’s fine,” he wrote on Twitter.
