Report: NFL broadcaster to be Jeopardy! guest host
Another football figure will try his hand at being the new Jeopardy! host.
Andrew Marchand of the New York Post reports that Joe Buck, who calls NFL and MLB games on FOX, will be a Jeopardy! guest host auditioning for the permanent job. The Post report does not detail how long Buck will be guest hosting but says the episodes will air this summer.
The two-week block of episodes featuring Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers as guest host finished airing on Friday. Rodgers was preceded by guest hosts Katie Couric, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Ken Jennings and long-time Jeopardy! producer Mike Richards. In addition to Buck, upcoming guest hosts include Anderson Cooper, Bill Whitaker, Mayim Bialik, Savannah Guthrie and Dr. Sanjay Gupta.
We’ll have to wait and see if Jeopardy! goes with a sports figure as the full-time successor to the late Alex Trebek.
