Former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. became a free agent Tuesday, but he has yet to be picked up by any NFL team.
Beckham has apparently narrowed his choices down to the New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers and perhaps the New England Patriots.
All three teams are making a hard push to add him to their respective teams, but Beckham hasn’t made up his mind yet as to which direction he wants to go.
Patriots QB Mac Jones commented on Beckham’s status and him joining the team.
Jones said this via Yahoo Sports:
“He’s a great player. He has a choice to make. That’s up to him,” he said. “We have really good receivers here, and anybody who wants to help us win is obviously a benefit to the team. I obviously will leave that up to coach Belichick. You can ask him about it. I know for a fact that he always wants people who will come here and help us win.”
Although Jones has had a decent rookie season so far, the addition of a Beckham to this team may be enough to carry them to an AFC East title and back to the playoffs.
