This is an incredible coincidence: the New York Jets have taken two players by the same name on Day 3 of the NFL Draft.

The Jets now have both North Carolina running back Michael Carter and Duke defensive back Michael Carter.

The Tarheel Carter was picked with the second selection of the fourth round on Saturday. Then, the Jets got the Blue Devil Carter with the 10th pick of the fifth round.

Overall, the Jets have put together an outstanding draft class that includes a pair of former SEC stars. On Day 2, the Jets picked up Ole Miss receiver Elijah Moore after many had experts thought he would be a first round pick. New York also picked up Auburn safety Jamien Sherwood on Day 3.

New York should be an excellent landing spot for Moore, who was outstanding for the Rebels last season. He caught 86 passes for 1,193 yards and eight touchdowns in just eight games. He should be a frequent target for new Jets quarterback Zach Wilson.

The Jets will hope that combination — plus the addition of both Michael Carters — will help lead the team to the postseason for the first time since 2010.
