Russell Wilson is apparently heading to a new NFL team ahead of the 2022 season.

On Tuesday, after it was reported that Aaron Rodgers had signed a 4-year, $200 million contract to remain with the Green Bay Packers, a blockbuster trade was reportedly agreed to by the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Wilson is heading to the Denver Broncos pending a physical and Wilson’s approval of the deal:

Schefter notes that Rodgers’ decision to return to Green Bay didn’t have anything to do with the Wilson trade, as the Broncos and Seahawks have been working on details for at least 2 weeks:

What Seattle is getting in return for the quarterback who lead the Seahawks to their only Super Bowl victory in franchise history remains to be seen, but this is a deal that will shake up the balance of power in the NFL in 2022 and beyond.
