Super Bowl LVIII is set! The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers will meet on Feb. 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to decide which team will be named world champions for the 2023 season.

The Chiefs head to Sin City as the No. 3 seed in the AFC. Andy Reid’s team went 11-6 in regular-season play and did not get a playoff bye. Kansas City won at home against the Miami Dolphins in the Wild Card round, on the road against the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round and Sunday at Baltimore, defeating the Ravens to win the AFC Championship.

Kansas City notched a 17-7 halftime lead against AFC No. 1-seed Baltimore. The Chiefs were held scoreless in the second half, but Lamar Jackson and the Ravens only managed a field goal in the 4th quarter for a final score of 17-10.

Sunday’s drama was in California.

NFC No. 1-seed San Francisco trailed conference No. 3-seed Detroit 24-7 at halftime. The 49ers scored 27 straight in the second half, taking a 34-24 lead, before the Lions managed a touchdown with 56 seconds remaining, cutting it to 34-31. San Francisco recovered Detroit’s onside kick attempt to seal the victory.

As the NFC’s No. 1 seed, San Francisco had a bye for the Wild Card round after going 12-5 in the regular season. The 49ers defeated the NFC No. 7-seed Green Bay Packers 24-21 in the Divisional Round.

Super Bowl LVIII is set for 6:30 p.m. ET on Feb. 11, airing on CBS. Reba McEntire will sing the national anthem while Usher headlines the halftime show. Another musician, though, is already dominating headlines as fans expect to see Taylor Swift on hand to support Chiefs TE Travis Kelce.
