Here are 5 guys who I think are currently going too low in Best Ball Mania V drafts. Snag these guys for your roster today before other players see the value:
Justin Jefferson, WR, Minnesota Vikings — ADP: 5.5
Justin Jefferson going outside the top 3 is insane to me. If you want to draft Christian McCaffrey ahead of Jefferson, fine. I get that. But I wouldn’t let Jefferson fall past No. 2 in any draft. Yes, I’m aware of the QB situation in Minnesota. I understand either Sam Darnold or JJ McCarthy (a rookie) will likely be throwing passes to Jet this year. But if Jefferson is healthy, he’s potentially the best wide receiver in the league. I’d take him over Tyreek Hill and CeeDee Lamb. Get yourself some exposure to Jefferson before the market corrects itself.
Kyren Williams, RB, Los Angeles Rams — ADP: 19.0
In 2023, Williams burst onto the fantasy football scene — 12 games, 228 carries, 1,144 rushing yards, 12 rushing touchdowns, 203 receiving yards, 3 receiving touchdowns. Again, he only played in 12 games and put up those sorts of numbers. He was the workhorse of all workhorses. The Rams drafted Michigan star Blake Corum in Round 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft to try to take a bit of the pressure off Williams, but I still think he deserves to be ranked higher than RB7. In best ball, you need guys who are going to get a lot of touches. Even with Corum splitting reps, the work will be there for Williams in 2024.
Nick Chubb, RB, Cleveland Browns — ADP: 103.2
Yes, Chubb is coming off of a devastating injury (again). He just can’t catch a break. But when he’s healthy, he’s still one of the best backs in the NFL. RB31 is crazy low for a guy who is consistently great when he plays. Of course he’ll be monitored closely at the beginning of the season as he works his way back into game shape, but he could be a potential moneymaker for your best ball team later in the season when the biggest prizes are on the line.
TJ Hockenson, TE, Minnesota Vikings: ADP: 119.4
This is similar logic to the Jefferson section. I don’t care who is throwing the ball to Hockenson. If I were the Vikings’ quarterback this fall, Hockenson would still be better than TE13, which is where he’s at now. He’s a top-10 tight end no matter who is throwing him the ball. If you can get him around pick 119, that’s an incredible value.
Aaron Rodgers, QB, New York Jets — ADP: 143.9
Similar to Chubb, Rodgers is coming off a major injury. He’s on the wrong side of 40 and is in the headlines more than his GM and coach would probably like. But there’s no denying Rodgers’ talent. And there’s no denying that this Jets’ offense is loaded. New York has Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams as its top 2 receivers. Breece Hall is currently RB3 in drafts. And the Jets picked Olu Fashanu out of Penn State with pick No. 11 in the 2024 NFL Draft to shore up the offensive line. If Rodgers can stay upright, he’ll significantly outperform his ADP.
