Pat Fitzgerald’s sideline tirade derailed by pesky play sheet

At halftime, Northwestern is giving Wisconsin a game, trailing only 7-3 through the first two quarters.

However, there was a moment during the first half with Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald was furious with an official, sprinting down the sidelines to yell at him.

As you can see below, Fitzgerald was quite intense during his rant about what was perhaps a missed call:

The intensity is derailed a bit due to Fitzgerald’s play sheet flapping along at his side, attached to his belt by some sort of string. He even had to stop for a second during his rant to try to figure out what was going on with the play sheet.

Whatever the case, it does appear he finally got his message across to the official, so not all was ruined by the loose sheet.
