Notre Dame caps off dominant first half against Purdue with pick-6
Notre Dame entered Week 3 looking to exact some revenge after the shocking loss to Northern Illinois last week, and the Fighting Irish are halfway there.
The Fighting Irish are currently up 42-0 at the half against Purdue, and have scored in many different ways. One of those scores was by Bobacar Traore, who took an interception back 34 yards to the house late in the first half:

Notre Dame has dominated this game in every way possible. Quarterback Riley Leonard has thrown for 116 yards in the first half, but has also rushed for 100 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Fighting Irish have rushed for 278 yards on 11.6 yards per carry. Running back Jeremiyah Love has 90 yards and 1 touchdown, while Jadarian Price has another 77 yards and 1 touchdown.
Notre Dame has been great against the run, giving up only 11 yards on 11 carries in the first half.
With the loss last week, Notre Dame now has almost no margin of error when it comes to making the College Football Playoff. With the Fighting Irish not being in a conference, it will be much more difficult for the team to earn a spot. While it is only one half, Notre Dame has responded in a big way against Purdue.
