The No. 4 Notre Dame Fighting Irish defeated the No. 1 Clemson Tigers Saturday night 47-40 in an epic double overtime game.

Clemson was without quarterback Trevor Lawrence (although he was on the sideline) following his isolation from contracting COVID-19; however, backup DJ Uiagalelei played an incredible game, going 29-of-44 for 439 yards and 2 touchdowns. Notre Dame was just better Saturday night and outlasted the Tigers. Notre Dame running back Kyren Williams rushed for 140 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win.

It’s a game that Notre Dame coaches, players and fans will remember forever, and it puts the Irish in a prime College Football Playoff position. Clemson and Notre Dame will likely play again in the ACC Championship, a game that Clemson would have to win with Trevor Lawrence to make the Playoff.

After huge home wins in years past, we usually see fans storm the field to celebrate. That happened Saturday night, and social media lost its mind because of it:
