Notre Dame offensive line commit Will Black is considered one of the best high school players in the class of 2025, an elite prospect that pledged to Marcus Freeman and the Fighting Irish in December.

The 6-foot-7, 295-pounder, rated by 247Sports’ composite ranking as the No. 6 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 42 player regardless of position — and the highest-rated player in the Irish’s 2025 class — will hopefully be a massive addition to Notre Dame’s front five when he arrives in South Bend. But he showed some wheels during Choate Rosemary Hall’s game against Avon Old Farms on Saturday.

Take a look as Black takes a screen pass and hustles 57 yards down the field to the end zone:

Again, that’s a 295-pounder running in a 57-yard touchdown on a screen pass.

Notre Dame fans won’t be expecting that from Black every time he plays. But it’s at least good to see that he has that in his toolset. Meanwhile, Choate Rosemary Hall, whose last loss came in 2022, entered Saturday’s game with a 6-0 record.

Notre Dame, by the way, is on an open week after a 51-14 win over Navy on Oct. 26. The Fighting Irish return to action on Nov. 9 as they host Florida State.
