Dwayne Haskins, former Ohio State QB, dead at 24
Dwayne Haskins, a former Ohio State quarterback, has tragically passed at the age of 24. He would have turned 25 next month.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter shared the news that Haskins was hit by a car Saturday morning. He was in South Florida, training with other members of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Dwayne Haskins, a standout at Ohio State before becoming Washington’s first-round pick and playing in Pittsburgh, died this morning when he got hit by a car in South Florida, per his agent Cedric Saunders. Haskins would have turned 25 years old on May 3.

Haskins played at Ohio State from 2016-to-2018. In his final season with the Buckeyes, he set school and conference records passing for over 4,000 yards and 50 touchdowns, earning MVP honors for the Big Ten Championship Game and the Rose Bowl. Washington used the No. 15 overall pick to select him in the 2019 NFL Draft. Haskins was released by Washington during the 2020 season. He landed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2021, taking on the role of third-string quarterback. Haskins did not play for the Steelers in the 2021 regular season but was retained by the club this offseason.
