We’ve got some unfortunate news to share out of Columbus as one of Ohio State’s seniors is reportedly in the hospital, although he’s in stable condition, after being shot in the face.
Senior defensive lineman Haskell Garrett, 22, was found early Sunday morning by Columbus police after the officers followed a trail of blood to his location.
According to NBC4i out of Columbus, Garrett suffered a gunshot wound to the cheek of his face.
Garrett was rushed to the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center where he is currently in stable condition.
The senior Buckeye has appeared in 33 total games during his time with Ohio State and is the Big Ten’s highest-graded returning defensive tackle for the 2020 season according to Pro Football Focus.
Garrett signed with Ohio State out of Nevada.
