Could this explain why Justin Fields is seen by many as the draft’s third or fourth quarterback prospect?

During his time in Columbus, Fields was viewed by many as arguably the most productive signal-caller in the college game but as we inch closer to the 2021 NFL Draft, the Ohio State product appears to be entrenched behind Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Mac Jones, and some would argue, even behind Trey Lance.

Well, perhaps that’s due to a medical condition and not his ability on the gridiron.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Fields in dealing with epilepsy. Rapoport also notes that this condition has not affected Fields’ ability, but if that is indeed accurate, it’s odd that the reporter would bring it up just over a week before the start of the 2021 NFL Draft.

We’ll see if Fields responds to this report and if it affects the quarterback’s stock once the draft arrives next week.
