Ohio State fans, media rip Ryan Day following second straight loss to Michigan
By Keith Farner

Ryan Day faced growing criticism during and after Ohio State’s loss to Michigan on Saturday in Columbus, the second straight loss in the storied rivalry.
Day has largely exceeded expectations in most other metrics for the Buckeyes, except the last 2 seasons against the Wolverines have caused Ohio State fans and some media to call out his coaching. Calls of “John Cooper 2.0” and Michigan being Ohio State’s kryptonite under Day were some of the ways fans described the latest loss.
Leading up to the game USA Today columnist Dan Wolken even wrote that Day should be on the hot seat if he lost to Michiga.
Here’s a sampling of some of the reaction:
This is 100% on Ryan Day.
Absolutely pathetic.

After two years of disappointing performance from the Buckeyes against Michigan I’m starting to wonder if Ryan Day is the guy to get it done. This isn’t just another Big Ten game, it’s the most important game of the season. Michigan gets it, OSU needs to figure it out. #OSUvsMICH

I’ll just accept the fact that as long as Ryan Day is head coach OSU is never winning a national championship. UM is his kryptonite and it’s not even close.

Ryan Day is just John Cooper 2.0

Ryan Day is Jamie Dixon. He will keep OSU relevant but is not going to win the big game.
