Botched trick play leads to unenviable 3rd-and-goal from almost midfield for Oklahoma

When you get in goal-to-go situations, you normally get at least a field goal attempt out of it.

However, the Oklahoma Sooners had to punt on a 4th and goal situation in Saturday’s game at Kansas.

As you can see below, a trick play went horribly wrong. By the time Kansas managed to sack QB Jalen Hurts, he was almost back at the 50-yard line:

That’s certainly not ideal, and neither is punting in a goal-to-go situation. The Sooners are really struggling against a bad Kansas team.

Let’s see if they try any additional trick plays in the second half of this game.
