Caleb Williams might have left Oklahoma to play at USC, but the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner is still riding with the Sooners as they prepare for the Red River Rivalry on Saturday.
Williams posted a “horns down” on his Instagram story Thursday with a caption that reads “My boys over dere go to work,” along with tagging a few current Sooners.

The historic rivalry is certainly one of the best in college football, and even though Williams won’t be suiting up for the Sooners on Saturday, he still is pulling for Oklahoma to get win.
The last time Oklahoma beat Texas, Williams was the starting quarterback and led the Sooners to a 55-48 win behind 212 passing yards and 3 touchdowns.
The Sooners are hoping to have a game like that 2021 matchup this Saturday. Last season’s game wasn’t a favorable one for Oklahoma as the Longhorns dominated the game 49-0. Perhaps Williams’ Instagram post will fire the Sooners up to get a win.
The game between the Sooners and Longhorns kicks off at noon ET on Saturday.
