Desmond Howard sent a warning to 1 College Football Playoff contender ahead of Saturday.
Despite the No. 8 ranking, Oklahoma is firmly in the Playoff race due to its undefeated record, and Howard put the Sooners on upset alert during Week 10 against the Baylor Bears.
“So, last week when a lot of carnage was going on, when a lot of ranked teams lost in Michigan State and Wake Forest lost — Baylor lost, too — and Oklahoma was just sitting home because they had a bye week,” Howard said on SportsCenter. “They have to travel to Waco today to take on Baylor, a team that’s going to be very angry because they lost last week against TCU. Oklahoma just might be vulnerable.”
The Sooners haven’t looked too great throughout the season, but they keep winning. Baylor, however, isn’t Kansas, and the Bears will be a tough test for Caleb Williams and company.
If Oklahoma keeps winning, the Sooners will likely be in the final Playoff Top 4, but they will need some help. With 3 Saturdays left in the college season, there’s still plenty of time for shakeups to happen.
