A Buckeye loss could be turning into a potential Sooner gain.

On Friday, 247Sports’ Travis Branham reported that East Carolina transfer Javon Small has narrowed down his choices to two schools: Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Branham also reported that Small would not take his official visit to Ohio State as previously planned.

Small will visit the Sooners for an official visit according to reports. The talented guard will also visit in-state rival Oklahoma State before making his decision.

Small’s services have been in demand since the guard had a breakout season in his sophomore year at East Carolina. The guard scored 23 points in the Pirates’ opening win over Mercer, and went on to score double figures in 12 of the first 13 games of the season. Small also averaged 22.5 points in three games at the Gulf Coast Showcase, and was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Before a knee injury sidelined the guard for the remainder of the season, Small was shooting 39.7% from the floor, 33.3% on 3-pointers, and 85.4% at the free-throw line. He was the Pirates’ leading scorer this past season.
