Oklahoma won the Bauer Sharp sweepstakes on Monday.
Sharp committed to the Sooners over the likes of Utah and Tennessee. He spent 2021-2023 with FCS program Southeastern Louisiana. Sharp accounted for 366 receiving yards with 9 total touchdowns in 25 games played over the last 3 seasons.
The Sooners were led by veteran TE Austin Stogner this season in Norman. This season was Stogner’s 2nd stint with Oklahoma. He started his career there before transferring to South Carolina in 2022. Stogner returned to Norman to play for Brent Venables in 2023.

The 247Sports transfer ratings had Sharp as the No. 8 tight end and No. 86 overall transfer in the 2024 class. The Sooners also have 4-star TE Davon Mitchell verbally committed.
Venables had a good turnaround in year 2 at Oklahoma. The Sooners won 10 games in the regular season and now look ahead to the Alamo Bowl where they’ll take on Arizona.
Kickoff from the Alamo Bowl will be on Dec. 28 at 9:15 p.m. ET on ESPN/ESPN+.
