The AP Top 25 Poll is going to look a little different on Sunday afternoon.

The No. 6 Oklahoma Sooners lost to Big 12 foe Kansas State Saturday night 41-34. In fact, the Wildcats have beaten the Sooners 3 out of the last 4 years.

Kansas State quarterback Adrian Martinez (yes, the Nebraska transferred) combined for 382 yards and 5 touchdowns, as he played the game of his life.

The Wildcats offense racked up an amazing 511 yards against Brent Venables defense, including 277 rushing yards.

Sooners quarterback Dillon Gabriel threw for 4 touchdowns.

However, this is a damaging blow to Oklahoma’s College Football Playoff hopes, and climbing back into Playoff contention will be tough. Right now, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Clemson, Michigan and USC make up the top 6 teams in the nation. The Playoff race is about to heat up as we enter October.

For Oklahoma, however, it will need help in the next 2 months to climb back into the race.
