Oklahoma standout wide receiver expected to enter transfer portal, per report

Oklahoma’s 2025 roster is taking a major hit before the Sooners wrap up the 2024 campaign.
Matt Zenitz reports that standout wide receiver Nic Anderson is expected to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal. Undergraduates can officially enter the portal on Monday.

Anderson missed almost all of the 2024 season due to injury. He was out for the first 3 contests before returning for the Tennessee game. Anderson re-aggravated his injury against the Volunteers, and missed the rest of the season.
Over his first 2 seasons, 2022 and ’23, Anderson made 16 appearances. He took a redshirt after playing in 3 games of the ’22 season. The ’23 campaign was Anderson’s breakout year. As a redshirt freshman, he showed big-play capability, averaging 21 yards per reception on 38 catches for 798 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Anderson cracked triple digits in 2023 games against Tulsa (3 catches, 120 yards), UCF (5 catches, 105 yards) and West Virginia (4 catches, 119 yards). He also had a 3-catch, 92-yard outing in the final Bedlam clash with Oklahoma State last year.
Anderson’s decision follows reports that Oklahoma QB Jackson Arnold is looking to transfer. OU will learn its bowl destination on Sunday.
