Spencer Rattler was benched on Saturday during Oklahoma’s 53-45 win over Texas after he made 2 early turnovers, and Lincoln Riley turned to freshman Caleb Williams.

Rattler later returned for one play, a 2-point conversion pass to Drake Stoops late in the game.

But on Sunday, Rattler was supportive of his teammates, and wrote on social media, “Huge team win yesterday. Proud of all my brothers. 6-0!”

Rattler, the Associated Press preseason All-America and one-time Heisman Trophy contender, was 8-for-15 passing for 111 yards and an interception. He also lost a fumble.

Rattler was also benched in last year’s game against Texas, but it was a different ending, as he returned and threw 2 of his 3 touchdowns.

The Sooners return to action this week against TCU.
