Five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham has chosen Lane Kiffin over Kalen DeBoer, flipping his commitment from Alabama to Ole Miss, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3Sports.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound prize from Ackerman, Miss., decided to stay in-state after committing to Alabama in July.

“Sip Made, Sip Stayed” was Cunningham’s message on social media in Wednesday’s announcement.

The Choctaw County (Miss.) prospect appeared to be headed to Tuscaloosa to join DeBoer, at least by what he was saying during the summer and into the fall. But then there was Cunningham repeatedly taking visits to Oxford, so something had to be up. And that something is now out in the open, as Cunningham had a chance to sit down with the Rebels coaching staff this summer and ultimately decided his best option was the surging program that’s right in his home state.

Cunningham, who also showed up to 3 Ole Miss games this season, is the nation’s No. 16 overall prospect, No. 2 wide receiver and No. 1 player in the state of Mississippi on the 247Sports Composite.

Cunningham is the first 5-star in Kiffin’s 2025 class and the 20th commit overall. He’s the 6th commit from the state of Mississippi.
