A.J. Brown is in line for a major payday with his new team.

The newest Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver, acquired in a big draft-night trade from the Tennessee Titans, was set to head into the final year of the 4-year rookie contract he signed after being taken in the 2nd round in 2019.

Rather than extend the emerging star, Tennessee opted to trade him to Philadelphia, a team hoping to position itself as a contender in the NFC East. And the Eagles are ready to lock up their new acquisition for the next several years.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Brown will receive a 4-year, $100 million contract extension with Philadelphia. The deal will see $57 million of that guaranteed.

Brown wasn’t the only wide receiver on the move during the 1st round of the NFL Draft as Marquise Brown (no relation) was sent from Baltimore to Arizona, where he’ll join Kyler Murray and a pass-catching corps that already includes 5-time Pro Bowler DeAndre Hopkins.
