David Pollack says that an upset is possible for the Ole Miss Rebels this week against Alabama.
On ESPN’s “Get Up” with Mike Greenberg, he shared what he thinks about the Rebels chances.
“At home, obviously they played in the Swamp against Florida so that makes a big difference,” said Pollack.
He referenced last year’s game when talking about Alabama’s defense and Lane Kiffin’s offense.
“Go back and watch the game from a year ago,” said Pollack. “They scored 40-plus points and Lane did whatever he wanted to Nick’s defense. I don’t think this defense is at the level as it was a year ago. I’m excited to see this matchup.”
This matchup has the potential for a great game, and Pollack knows that with 2 of the best play callers in the nation facing off.
“Lane’s one of the best play callers in college football, Nick obviously one of the best defensive minds we’ve ever seen,” said Pollack. “Ole Miss can score points, man. It’s really about Ole Miss’ defense. They’re transitioning to a different scheme. Last year they were awful on defense, so bad on defense. Can they get some form of stops, and if they do get stops, at all, in any way, shape or form, they absolutely can win this game.”
