Ole Miss just received some much-needed depth on the defensive side of the ball.

Help is on the way for the Rebel defense in the form of linebacker Chance Campbell, formerly of Maryland. The former Terrapin linebacker announced his commitment to the Rebels on Monday.

Campbell is coming off a season in which he recorded 42 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in just four games for Maryland’s defense. He was honored as a 2020 Honorable Mention All-Big Ten selection following the season.

For his college career, Campbell has 107 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 1.5 tackles for loss and an interception. Current Ole Miss co-defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin recruited Campbell to Maryland.
