Ole Miss quarterback Shea Patterson may soon be on his way to Michigan.

Tom Loy, a college football insider at 247Sports, posted some interesting information on Twitter Sunday in response to a report about the possibility Patterson may be transferring to play for Jim Harbaugh.

Patterson visited the Wolverines this weekend.

“I’m fully expecting this to end quickly and for Michigan to get some good news,” Loy said. “From what I was told, it was basically done before he ever stepped foot on campus.”

If Michigan gets some good news, Ole Miss will undoubtedly get the opposite.

Patterson lit up opponents this season before suffering a season-ending knee injury against LSU. He had thrown for 346 yards or more in five of his six games prior to the LSU game.

The Wolverines could certainly be getting a superstar, but this is tough news for Ole Miss.
