Ole Miss lineman reveals both his parents have tested positive for coronavirus
Sad news to share from Oxford as Ole Miss offensive lineman Eli Johnson has revealed both of his parents have tested positive for the coronavirus.
If you were unaware, Johnson’s father, David, covers the team for 247Sports.
The rising senior shared news of his father’s diagnosis over the weekend with the below caption:
“I don’t usually post things like this but my family could use some prayers! My dad received a positive test back for the Coronavirus today. I have been quarantined with my family. All prayers are appreciated!”

Sadly, he followed that up on Tuesday by announcing his mother has also been tested positive for the virus.
“I hate to have to make this update but as of this morning my sweethearted mother has also tested positive for the Coronavirus. I cannot thank you all enough for the encouragement and support that has been shown to my family and I.”
