Ole Miss extends program's shutdown following growing COVID outbreak
We have some unfortunate news to share from Oxford as Ole Miss has just announced the program’s shutdown will have to be extended into next week due to a growing COVID outbreak on the team.
Ole Miss first announced on Wednesday that the program would be shutting down for a day but that was extended into Thursday.
Now with the program’s numbers growing, Ole Miss will shut things down until Wednesday, Dec. 9.
One silver lining here comes with the fact that Ole Miss was not scheduled to have a game this weekend. If the Rebels had a game scheduled for Saturday, there’s a good chance it would have been postponed or even canceled.
Here is the statement issued by Ole Miss on Friday:
Just toss the possible December 19th re-scheduled games, if A&M only has 1 loss after December 12th, schedule A&M vs UGA for December 19th. If A&M wins, they are in over a one loss Notre Dame for sure. If they lose, they should still get a NY6.
Reading is fundamental. This article was about basketball.
Actually this is when you need the delete button, because it definitely says football. Let me take my foot out of my mouth now.
You had me going there for a second. I have been flipping between post and feared you were correct. All good
Thought it was interesting on Aggs page Billy luicci put that we should do that and try to get Ohio state on our schedule on the 19th if they can’t play for conference title due to not playing enough games. Not sure if I’d rather see them play Georgia or Ohio state.
Either one. Bring it on (if we only have one loss after December 12th).
