Last Friday, former Florida wide receiver Dionte Marks announced he was bound for the University of Central Florida; however, on Wednesday evening, he pulled a 180 and announced his intention to transfer to Ole Miss to join Lane Kiffin’s program.

“First and foremost, I would like to thank the University of Florida for the amazing opportunity to be apart (sic) of a fantastic program,” Marks wrote on his Twitter account. “Also, I want to thank everyone who has helped me become a better man from the time of me being there. Coach Mullen, Coach Gonzalez, and all the other coaches including the staff. With that being said I’ll be transferring to the University of Ole Miss.”

The redshirt freshman receiver had previously entered into the NCAA Transfer Portal. He played in 2 games during the 2019 season against UT Martin and Towson.

The receiver signed with Florida during the 2019 recruiting cycle and was rated a 3-star prospect. He was ranked as the nation’s No. 57 wide receiver after he caught 45 passes for 964 yards and 11 touchdowns during his senior season at Deland High School.
