DK Metcalf joins Randy Moss in elite company among receivers with long playoff TDs
DK Metcalf added another highlight-reel catch to join elite company among NFL wide receivers during Saturday’s playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Metcalf caught a 50-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter, and that gave him 3 touchdown catches of at least 50 yards in the playoffs. That tied him with Hall of Famer Randy Moss for the 2nd-most all-time. Only Hall of Famer John Stallworth (4) has more such TD in postseason history, according to NFL Research.
Metcalf added another touchdown late in the game, a 3-yarder, in the 41-23 loss. He finished with 10 catches for 136 yards and 2 touchdowns on 13 targets.
After the game, Metcalf said he believes that this season “was a huge stepping stone” and that this team will be a team to look out for next season.
