Rookie wide receiver Elijah Moore has some big shoes to fill after AJ Brown and DK Metcalf have had great starts to their early careers with the Tennessee Titans and Seattle Seahawks, respectively.

The 2021 second round pick out of Ole Miss hasn’t had as great of a start, with 8 receptions and 66 yards receiving in the 4 games he’s played in.

However, Moore stated in an interview with the press on Wednesday that he isn’t worried about his numbers, and is more focused on doing what he can to help the team win:

“I really wouldn’t say disappointed,” said Moore. “I know what’s important, and that’s winning. It’s not really about me. That’s really all that matters. If we had won every game, and I had zero stats it wouldn’t really matter. That’s the ultimate goal for everyone in this building.”

Moore still has a lot of time to make a better impact for the New York Jets, with 12 more games remaining on the schedule.

The Jets have a chance to right the ship against the New England Patriots in Foxboro. The Patriots have won their last 11 matchups against the Jets.

Can Moore go on a hot streak down the stretch?

The Jets (1-4) and Patriots (2-4) meet  at 1 p.m. ET on CBS on Sunday.
