The Don Brown connections continue to grow in Oxford as Lane Kiffin is set to add another assistant coach that has ties to the well-respected former Michigan defensive coordinator.

The latest addition to the Ole Miss staff comes with the hire of defensive analyst Elijah Sandweis, which was first reported by Doug Samuels of FootballScoop.

Sandweis spent the 2020 season as a defensive graduate assistant at Texas after serving one season as defensive coordinator at Howard University. Prior to landing his coordinator position at the FCS school, Sandweis spent nearly four years assisting the Michigan football program.

That’s where Sandweis worked under Brown and crossed paths with current Ole Miss coaches Chris Partridge and DJ Durkin.
