It appears one ESPN broadcaster missed a highlight from John Rhys Plumlee’s bio.

During the game, one of the ESPN2 broadcasters was audibly intrigued that his booth partner had mentioned the two-sport athlete is also a quarterback.

College baseball is not featured on many national TV broadcasts until the postseason. In the case of Plumlee, though, his status as a member of the Ole Miss football team is presumably prominently noted in media materials provided for those covering Rebels baseball games.

As for Saturday night, Plumlee was 2-for-5 at the plate with an RBI and a run scored in Ole Miss’ 12-3 win over Arizona to force a Game 3 in the Tucson Super Regional.
