ESPN's Chris Fallica gives high praise to Ole Miss after Week 1 loss
Ole Miss’ collapse against Florida State was hardly worth getting excited over. The Rebels blew a 28-6 lead by allowing the Seminoles to score 30 unanswered points between the second and fourth quarter during their 45-34 win Monday.
But Chris Fallica of ESPN’s Stats & Information and “College Gameday” is viewing Ole Miss’ performance with optimism. Fallica called the Rebels the “second-best team” in the SEC West during an appearance on SportsTalk with Bo Mattingly.
Fallica: I would still say Ole Miss is the second-best team in the West. I saw enough from them last night—they’re really good on offense.

Ole Miss’ offense recorded 380 total yards and went 5 of 11 on third down, while also converting its only fourth down attempt. Quarterback Chad Kelly threw for 313 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions on 21 of 30 passing.
To its credit, Ole Miss did play a Florida State team who entered ranked No. 4 overall in the AP Poll and jumped one spot with the victory.
