The Ole Miss Rebels suffered its second straight loss on Saturday night, including the loss of wide receiver Laquon Treadwell.
The Rebels have received significant contributions from their 2013 recruiting class, which continues to improve and develop with each game. The story of the game ended up being Treadwell’s injury, however, which will cause him to miss the rest of the season.
Here’s a rundown of how some of Ole Miss’ 2013 recruits fared last weekend against the Tigers:
- Quincy Adeboyejo: Adeboyejo had a quite night against Auburn. He didn’t register any stats.
- Tony Conner: Conner continues to play well for a defense whose strength is on the perimeter of the field. Conner recorded four tackles and was credited for one-half tackles for loss.
- Mark Dodson: Dodson was held in check by the Tigers. He didn’t record any stats.
- Evan Engram: Engram had arguably the best outing of his career catching eight passes for 123 yards.
- Robert Nkemdiche: The Auburn offense stayed away from Nkemdiche most of the night. The top player of the nation’s best defense made only one tackle.
- Laquon Treadwell: Treadwell had a career night catching 10 passes for 103 yards. Unfortunately, he suffered a season-ending injury late in the fourth quarter.
- Laremy Tunsil: Tunsil did not play against the Tigers. His status moving forward is unknown. His absence on Saturday night forced the Rebels to reshuffle the offensive front, allowing Auburn to get easy pressure.
