Ole Miss pulled off one of the more surprising victories of the season in the Egg Bowl, beating a Mississippi State team that lost star QB Nick Fitzgerald early in the game.

However, the defining moment from the game may have been when DL Breeland Speaks recovered a fumble and then was caught on camera smiling and waving toward the sideline.

You can see the funny moment, which of course went viral, in the video below:

At this week’s NFL Combine, Speaks spoke with AL.com, revealing who he was waving at during the now-famous play — then-Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen:

“I got your football,” Speaks said of what his message was after the play. “I couldn’t have picked a better way to finish (my college career). Going viral, probably that’s something I’ve never really thought of. Come back to my phone and you got ESPN got you on their Instagram page, everybody got you on their Instagram page. It was just crazy.”

That moment will likely be replayed by both teams leading up to next year’s Egg Bowl, adding fuel to an already furious rivalry.
