Former Ole Miss WR A.J. Brown scores first NFL touchdown in beastly fashion
A.J. Brown has had a solid start to his NFL career, but the former Ole Miss star hadn’t reached the end zone. That changed on Sunday as the Tennessee Titans wide receiver took a pass over the middle and scored from 55 yards out against the Atlanta Falcons.
He also added a second touchdown later in the first half to have 66 yards receiving on his first two catches. Already this season, Brown has two catches for more than 50 yards.
The Titans picked Brown in the second round (51st overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-1, 226-pounder was arguably the best receiver in program history.
Brown left Ole Miss as the program’s all-time leading receiver with 2,984 yards, and collected the most 100-yard receiving games in school history (12) over his three seasons. As a junior in 2018, he set Ole Miss’ single-season receiving record both in yards (1,320) and catches (85).
Entering Week 4 in the NFL, Brown already had six catches for 129 yards.
