The Ole Miss Rebels are going to need an infusion of talent in the backcourt, as star PG Breein Tyree is out of eligibility and off to the NBA.
On Sunday, the Rebels got a guy who could step in and try to fill Tyree’s shoes — Rider graduate transfer guard Dimencio Vaughn.
As you can see below, Vaughn announced via Twitter on Sunday afternoon that he’d decided to commit to coach Kermit Davis and the Rebels:
After much thought and consideration, I’ve decided to continue my basketball career at Ole Miss. Thank you to everyone who has helped me through this process. Excited to be a Rebel???#hottytoddy #SECball pic.twitter.com/15edm3Vi8J

Vaughn will be immediately eligible for the 2020-21 season, which will be his final college campaign. He appeared in 30 games for Rider this past season, starting 29. He averaged 14.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
How will he fare in Oxford? Hopefully, we’ll find out starting this fall.
