In a day filled with bad news, here’s some good news for Ole Miss.

Rebels sophomore wide receiver A.J. Brown is staying in Oxford. He announced his decision via Twitter on Friday afternoon.

Ole Miss was hit by the NCAA with a two-year bowl ban and other major sanctions, including 13 scholarship deductions, on Friday.

As a result, some players reportedly were already being poached by other schools. It’s not unreasonable to think some players could transfer out of the program, as well, with future post-season hopes being nixed.

Brown, however, made it abundantly clear that he isn’t going anywhere.

That’s great news for Ole Miss fans. Brown was the Rebels’ top pass-catching threat in 2017, catching 75 passes for 1,252 yards and 11 touchdowns.
