Rich Rodriguez’s Ole Miss offense appears to have just gotten some outstanding news.

Rebel fans have been eagerly awaiting to see if and when Jerrion Ealy was selected in the latest Major League Baseball Draft but after the first two rounds came and went on Monday, Ealy was not among the players selected. The All-American two-sport star from Jackson Prep was thought to be among the top prospects entering the draft but following Kyler Murray’s decision to spurn MLB for the NFL, baseball clubs may have team reconsidering taking elite two-sport stars at the top of the draft.

With Ealy still not selected upon the draft resuming on Tuesday, the five-star Ole Miss running back signee just issued a message to Rebel fans curious to know what the in-state star was planning on doing next fall.

Based on his latest tweet, Ealy appears eager to suit up for the Rebels in the fall:

Ealy was rated as a top 30 overall prospect in the 2019 recruiting cycle and signed with Ole Miss over Clemson, Alabama and Auburn. He was an Under Armour All-American and set the game’s all-time rushing mark last season with 119 rushing yards and two scores in the game. If Ealy does indeed play for the Rebels next fall, he will join Scottie Phillips to create a formidable backfield that nearly every program in the nation would be envious to have come the fall.
