Key Lawrence is a defensive back and veteran contributor during his time at Oklahoma. Originally beginning his career at Tennessee, Lawrence spent the past 3 seasons with the Sooners in a key role.

Now, Lawrence is on the move in the transfer portal. He entered the portal early in December and revealed a commitment to Ole Miss on Thursday.

During the 2023 season, Lawrence was 1 of 4 Sooners with multiple interceptions and finished with 2 interceptions and 3 pass breakups. Across the past 3 seasons at Oklahoma, Lawrence has 10 TFL, 12 pass breakups, 6 forced fumbles and 3 interceptions.

For his career, Lawrence has 157 total tackles, 3 interceptions, 13 pass breakups and 6 forced fumbles and was a top 100 prospect in the 2020 recruiting class. He is the fifth transfer player to commit to Lane Kiffin’s program this cycle, and the third in the secondary.

Lawrence joins CB Tahveon Nicholson (Illinois) and safety Louis Moore (Indiana) as secondary pieces to commit to Ole Miss in the portal. The former Sooner will get the chance to face his old team in October when Oklahoma visits Oxford.
