Lane Kiffin and the Rebels are coming off their first scrimmage of fall camp, and Ole Miss is set for another one on Saturday.

Last week was open to the public, and Kiffin on Monday explained that this week would not be. But Kiffin explained that practices have to be limited to access because people record them on video, and schemed plays are stored for later use.

Kiffin was asked after the practice if he was happy with the crowd turnout of the scrimmage, and gave an surly response.

“I don’t know, I’m not really worried about that so I didn’t pay much attention. I mean we opened it up because Kyle wanted you to be nice, so I’m sure everybody filmed today and every opponent has our plays now but you know, we’re just here to be nice to everybody,” Kiffin said, via On3 Sports.

Apparently, he referred to Kyle Campbell, Ole Miss football’s Associate A.D. for Brand Strategy, but it’s safe to say that coaches like Kiffin are well aware of how plays can end up in opponents’ game plans. He clarified on Monday that it was far enough away from the regular season to not make a difference.

Kiffin and the Rebels open with Troy on Sept. 3.
