Lane Kiffin called out on social media for questionable 4th-down decision vs. Kentucky
Lane Kiffin is no stranger to going for it on 4th down.
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. But he’s not afraid to roll the dice.
Kiffin, however, made a curious decision on a 4th-down play Saturday against Kentucky.
Facing 4th-and-goal at the Wildcats’ 5-yard line, Kiffin opted to go for the touchdown instead of kicking a short field goal and adding to what was a 22-19 lead.
The play failed, as Jaxon Dart’s pass fell incomplete, giving the ball back to Kentucky.
A field goal would have extended the lead to 6 and the decision had many on social media wondering exactly what Kiffin was thinking:
Lane Kiffin is a dumb coach. You get the damn points there.

Lane kiffin should’ve went for the field goal as opposed to going for it

Wow what a boneheaded move by Lane Kiffin. If Kentucky wins this game it will be because Kiffin didn’t kick the field goal right there. And that’s fine with me

Why can’t lane kiffin just kick a field goal
