Lane Kiffin called out on social media for questionable 4th-down decision vs. Kentucky

Lane Kiffin is no stranger to going for it on 4th down.

Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. But he’s not afraid to roll the dice.

Kiffin, however, made a curious decision on a 4th-down play Saturday against Kentucky.

Facing 4th-and-goal at the Wildcats’ 5-yard line, Kiffin opted to go for the touchdown instead of kicking a short field goal and adding to what was a 22-19 lead.

The play failed, as Jaxon Dart’s pass fell incomplete, giving the ball back to Kentucky.

A field goal would have extended the lead to 6 and the decision had many on social media wondering exactly what Kiffin was thinking:
