Lane Kiffin is sticking with his plan at quarterback to start this week’s game against Central Arkansas.
At his Monday press conference, Kiffin said that Luke Altmyer will be the first QB out there on Saturday.
Altmyer, a Starkville, Mississippi native, played parts of 3 drives in the win over Troy on Saturday after Jaxson Dart got the start last week. Dart was 18 for 27 passing for 154 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He was replaced by Altmyer in the fourth quarter, who completed one pass for 13 yards. Dart ran the ball 4 times for 40 yards and Altmyer never rushed.

Kiffin has said that he wants to see how both players react to both starting, and coming off the bench. Once he sees that, he’ll make a decision for the rest of the season.
Kiffin after the win on Saturday was tough on his offense, and deadpanned this about the crowd.
“It seemed like it was really good, especially in the first half,” Kiffin said of the Ole Miss crowd. “But they probably got bored in the second half. I would too with our offense.”
